I have used a wheelchair for 22 years
It has cause me many tears
Always needing help doing little for myself
It's ok because God has a job for me
The wheelchair is a tool he wants me to use
For his work if he wants to heal me
In time for some other type of work
That's ok but for now my job is to serve
The lord until the end of time
I can do that best by being myself

Is the wheelchair always a tool???...
Is it ever something that helps you win???..a weapon???...
Helps you get from A to B???... a vehicle???...
Gives you a chance to feel superior???...until your modesty comes back...
Helps you find a little ordinary pleasure???...can you roll down a slope...perhaps too fast..but enjoying the wind the speed creates...blowing though your hair...
Do you think about the style of the next generation of wheelchair designs???...
What new features will be added???...
What would be your choice of design features???...
Personally, I think the vision of wheelchair designers is too horizontal...
Imagine a wheelchair that permits vertical extensions, upward thrusts, reaching, but only in small increments, toward the stars...small increments but many small increments and we begin to get there...now that's a design improvement that I could live with...
