The Two Princesses By: Angel Ward page 3

She smiled weakly and nodded then fell back to sleep peacefully. Lisa got better slowly and I was there to help her in any way I could. One day Lisa asked for some hot tea. The nurse said that she could have some and went to get it. When she brought it she also brought. A cup of coffee for me “thank you” I said in surprise. “Your welcome Princess Angel” the nurse said smiling. “But I don’t remember asking for anything” I said. “You didn’t Princess Angel” she replied. “But you have been so unselfish while your sister has been sick, that I thought you might like something hot to drink as well” the nurse replied. “Thank you” I said again. Not sure of what else to say. “May I have a sip of my tea please?” Lisa asked. “Of course Lisa” I replied. Her hands were a little shaky and she couldn’t hold the cup herself. So I held the cup and straw for her. After she had a few sips of her tea. I set her cup down and
took a sip of my coffee. Then she asked “Angel could you read to me?” “Sure” I said. She smiled and handed me the book. I read about half a chapter to her. When I noticed that her eyes were only half opened. I smiled sweetly at her as I put a bookmark in the book and set it on the nightstand by her
bed. “Lisa why don’t you take a little nap?” “You look exhausted,” I said gently. “I am Angel,” she said. “But I don’t like taking a nap every time you visit” she said softly. “I understand that” I said. “But you need your rest”. “I know,” she said very sleepily as she put her head on the pillow. “Why don’t you rest your eyes Lisa?” I suggested? Ok she said as she fell asleep. While
Lisa slept I got out my bible and

“I am,” I said yawning.“Oh sorry” I said covering my mouth. “It’s all right” she replied smiling. “But I don’t want leave her” I said. Covering another yawn. “I know you don’t “she said softly. “Princess Angel may I ask you something” she asked looking down at me. “Sure you can ask me anything” I replied looking up into her face. “How can you be there for your sister if you’re so tired you can barely stay awake?” I considered her question. I was exhausted and a nap did sound like a wonderful idea. I looked over at Lisa who was sleeping. I smiled at the nurse sleepily. “Would you please call me if she wakes up?” I asked. “Yes I will,” she said. I looked at Lisa again and softly said, “Lisa I’ll be back soon I love you.” Then I left the room and when I got home I went straight to the bedroom Lisa and I shared. I stopped beside my bed to Pray before trying to lie down. “Dear Lord” I said. You know Princess Lisa’s sick. I said. "If it be your will that you make her well", in your name I pray amen. Then I sat there quietly to listen. I heard a soft voice reply. “In time my daughter in time. “ I will never leave you or your sister he reminded me. “Thank you Lord” I remember saying softly, as I got into bed and went to sleep. A few hours later I woke up to the sound of our bedside phone ringing. I rubbed my eyes and reached for the phone Hello. “Princess Angel” I knew the nurse’s voice right away. “Yes how is my sister?” I asked. “She’s a little better,” the nurse said. I could tell that she was smiling as she told me the good news. “She’s waking up and asking for you.” “I’ll be right there,” I said hanging up the phone and getting back into my chair. I was back at the hospital at Lisa’s side within ten minutes. “Angel” Lisa said looking at me as I came in her room. “Will I get better?” She asked me. “Yes you will but it might take some time” I told her.

The Two Princesses By: Angel Ward short story in progress page 1

Once upon a time there were two princesses named, Princess Lisa and Princess Angel. They weren’t just sisters but friends. You couldn’t find two sisters more alike in personality. There’s also one more thing that brought them so close together. They both had cerebral palsy, which confined them to wheelchairs. They were not upset about it though. They believed that God had a special plan. For them both as one and as Individuals. The most important to them was faith. They always made time to pray together. Their day always started and ended in prayer. The weather didn’t matter much to them. When it was sunny. They spend time outside and when it was rainy. They spend the day in front of the fireplace with a cup of hot tea and a good book. They spent a lot time together. Not saying that they didn’t have alone time because they did. Each of them respected the others alone time. That’s why spending time together was so enjoyable. So when Princess Lisa came down with an illness. That made her very weak and need to go to the hospital. Princess Angel was right by her side. T o hold her hand, to pray for her and over her. Princess Angel wanted to be there if her sister needed anything. For a week she rarely left her sister’s hospital room. Princess Angel stayed up late reading her bible or praying for Princess Lisa. On Monday morning when the nurse came in to check on Princess Lisa. Princess Angel looked up weakly as the nurse did her work. When she was done she walked over to where Princess Angel was sitting and gently put her hand on her shoulder. “Princess Angel shouldn’t you get some sleep?” She asked. “You look so tired” she said sweetly.

My Angel Friend By: Angel Ward

An angel sent from above
To share with me your wonderful love
When my feelings get all mixed up inside
Your there to say it's ok to cry
Your not perfect they say
But that won't stop you from going as far as you can go
Wings you have none
You still take my hand and say I'll help you
You know just what to say
When I'm at the end of my rope
When we talk all I hear is hope
All I can say as I end this poem is
Thank you Dear Lord
For my Angel Friend
