“Do you want to pray for her right now?” Lisa asked. “I sure do” I replied. We bowed our heads after we prayed. We talked and then we had lunch. As we were reading after lunch I started to yawn. Lisa looked up at me and asked “Angel are you tired?” I started to reply as the nurse came in. “Oh hello Princess Angel” She said with a smile. I yawn again “Did I wake you ?” The nurse asked. “No I’m just tired but I don’t understand why ” I said puzzled. “ I got a full night’s sleep last night” I told them. “ That’s great Angel but you have been running yourself thin while I’ve been sick” Lisa reminded me. “Yes I have I can’t argue with you on that” I replied. “But I got a good night’s sleep last night” I repeated. “ That’s great Angel but one good night’s sleep won’t make up for weeks of being exhausted” Lisa told me. “Now go home and take a nap” she said. I wanted to argue but my eyes were so tired they hurt. “I will” I promised. “But before you go Princess Angel I have some news for you.” The nurse said. “News! I hope it’s good news” I said looking at her. “Yes it is and actually it’s for you and Princess Lisa” The nurse said. “What’s the news?” Lisa asked. “You’ve been doing so well Princess Lisa that you can go home tomorrow.” The nurse said smiling. Lisa and I hugged each other and smiled. “Now go get some sleep Angel.” Lisa said softy. “I will” I said. As I left the room Lisa called my name. “Yes Lisa.” I said turning around in the doorway to face her.

I slept peacefully that night so well in fact. That I didn’t wake up until Nikkie called my name. “Angel your coffee getting cold it time to get up” she said. I sleepily sat up in bed “Huh!What?” I said sleepily. “Your coffee getting cold” she repeated. “Ok I’ll be there in a minute” I said as I got into my chair. “I’ll reheat your coffee for you” Nikki said smiling as she headed back to the kitchen. I joined her after I got ready for the day. “Thank you” I said to Nikki as she handed me my coffee. Over coffee Nikki and I talked. “Nikki do you want to come to the hospital with me?” I asked. “I do but I’m tired can I stay here and rest today?” She asked. “Sure you can” I said as I put my coffee cup in the sink. “I’m on the way to see Lisa now” I told Nikki as I gave her a hug. I had a surprise waiting for me when I got to the hospital. Lisa was sitting up in bed when I saw that I smiled. “Good morning Lisa” I said as I came into her room. “Good morning Angel” Lisa said smiling. “How are you feeling today Lisa?” I asked. “Much better” she said
taking the last sip of her coffee. “That great ” I said. “Where’s Nikki?” Lisa asked. “She was tired so she asked if she could stay at the house and rest” I told her. “I said she could I hope that’s ok” I said looking at Lisa. “Of course it is Angel” Lisa said. “Nikkie and I had a conversation last night” I told her. “Conversation about what?” Lisa asked. “God” I said. “You think she’s understanding?” Lisa asked. “She was asking questions I said. “That’s great sweetie” Lisa said smiling. “I prayed that the Lord would use us or something else to show her his love” I told Lisa.

“Angel can I ask you something?” She asked. “Of course Nikki you can ask me anything” I replied smiling at her. “How can you stay calm while Lisa’s sick?” She asked. “Well there are times when I brake down” I told her. “But I know that the Lord is watching over her even better then I can” I said. “You’re putting a lot of trust someone you can’t see Angel” Niki said. “But I don’t know how you can” She added. “Well I do trust God Nikki” I said. “But he’s given me something more valuable than trust Nikki” I said. “What is that?” She asked. “Faith” I answered. “What does that mean?” She asked. “Yes I do trust God like I said before Nikki” I told her. “But faith is the insurance of trust.” “That means I have faith in the Lord that he will take care of us” I said. “I know that he’s watching over Lisa” I said as I put my sewing away. “But you still can’t see God” She said. “No I can’t you’re right” I said. “But I know he won’t leave or forget us” I told her. “How do you know that?” She asked. “From his word the Bible” I said. “Well if that works for you dear” Nikki said as she put a bookmark in her book. As I led her to the guest room I silently prayed. That if it was his will while Nikki was visiting that he
would use me, Lisa or something else. To show her his love I said goodnight to Nikki and went to my room and say my night prayers. I got into bed smiling because I knew that the Lord who I put all my faith and trust in. Heard my request and would work everything out in his own time.e.

She was carrying two breakfast trays and two cups of coffee. “Thank you” we both said as our eyes
opened slowly. “How are you feeling today Princess Lisa?” the nurse asked. “I’m feeling a little better” Lisa replied. I’m glad to hear that the nurse said smiling. “But you have still a long recovery ahead of you” She said. Lisa nodded in
understanding and so did I. But Lisa could see as big sisters can that I was running myself thin. “Angel do you want to call Nikkie and see if she can visit for a while?” She asked. Princess Nikkie was a friend of ours and it would be nice to visit with her. We had not seen Nikkie in a long time and as I have said, it would be nice to see her again. It was lonesome at the house without Lisa there. That is why I spend all of my time at the hospital with her. This is probably why Lisa came up with the idea. “I’ll give her a call when I get home,” I said covering a yawn. “No I want you to go home and rest first,” Lisa said in a stern but kind voice. “I will I promise” I said sleepily. We said our
prayers and said goodnight. Before I when to sleep, I smiled as I remembered that the Lord was watching over both Lisa and I. He knew what he was doing I said softly as I fell asleep. After breakfast and coffee the next morning, I decided to try to give Nikkie a call. She said she would come visit the next week. Lisa was so excited when I gave her the news. When Nikkie came to visit. She met me and we went straight to the hospital to see Lisa. We spent the day with her and after dinner we said good night to Lisa. When Nikkie and I got to the house I helped Nikkie put her suitcase in the guest room. Then we to the living room
and sat in front of the fireplace. Nikkie was reading a book while I worked on a pillow for Lisa. Nikkie looked up as I rethread my needle.

A Mother's Day Letter (For my mom)

Dear Mom,
I wanted to write you a poem but I couldn't find the words.
To say just how much you mean to me. Your not just my mother. Your my christian sister, my friend and many other things that I can't say in one letter. As I end this letter I just wanted to say I love you and Happy Mother's Day!

Someday ( A poem for my brother)

Why do I feel so alone? Why does he get his pleasure from my tears? I know that I’m not perfect But why does he create all my fears? I know I’m not the Big sister That he wants me to be. I’m not trying to upset him I just want him to see. That I love him very much I want to show him how I care That why when I lay in bed at night I bow my head in prayer. Jesus you got to help me To let my brother see How much that I love him And how I’ve tried to make him seeHow often I’ve spoken softly But he turned me away I just want to keep him safe But he doesn’t want it that wayI know God is with me I can feel him with me now I want to just give up But I keep going somehow I’ll pray for him foreverAnd I know there will come a day He’ll be standing by my side And he turn to me and say Angel can you help me. I need for you to pray I would do it myself But I don’t know what to say I want to feel the love That you and Jesus share I need to feel that love In order to see you care So I sit and silently wait For that day to come Where god will turn him around And form our love as oneI’ll listen to him scream Until he sees the light of my day And then I’ll hear him whisper Thank you for showing me the way!
