The Two Princesses By: Angel Ward Last page
“Sweet dreams I love you.” She said. I love too I said as I turned around and went home. When I got home I shared the wonderful news with Nikkie. She smiled and asked “Can I come with you to pick up Lisa?” “Sure you can I know Lisa would like that.” I replied smiling too. After we had a light supper I cleaned up our bedroom. So that it would be perfect when she got back. As I was cleaning up I smiled again and again as the thought that Lisa was well enough to come home. I had just finished when there was a knock at the bedroom door. “Yes Nikkie do you need something?” I asked. “No I just wondering if you wanted a snack or a drink before bed.” She said. “Yes please that would be nice.” I replied. Heading back to the kitchen with Nikkie. We both had a cup of hot cocoa and went to bed for peaceful night sleep. After breakfast we cleaned up the house. So we wouldn’t have to do it when Lisa got home. Then we headed to the hospital to help Lisa get ready to come home. Lisa wasn’t released until early evening. We all sat outside the hospital enjoying the warm weather and talking before heading back home. As we talked I looked up at the sky. “Look” I said. Lisa and Nikkie followed my gaze. “Yes the sunset is beautiful!” Lisa said. Looking at the purple, red and orange sky. “I agree.” Nikkie said as we headed home. A few weeks later after Nikkie had returned home. She called us to said that “Jesus was part of her life too!” ‘That’s great Nikkie!” Lisa and I said in unison. As we hung up the phone. Both Lisa and I smiled and then said a little prayer. That Nikkie would find the joy in Jesus that we already knew. I smiled again at all the blessings in my life. Lisa was better and safe back at home. Nikkie let Jesus be part of her life. Lisa put her hand on my arm “What are you thinking about Angel?” She asked. “All the blessings in my life.” I replied yawning. “Let’s get some sleep.” She said sweetly. “Thank you Lord for everything.” I said just before I fell asleep.
